This page is for the game WAR OF DREAMS, developed by IRONSALVO.
You can delete your account at any time, for free, in the game or by email. Deleting it removes your account and all of your progress from our server. It cannot be undone. Uninstalling the game does not delete your account.
In the game
The quickest way. You need to be online.
- Open War of Dreams.
- On the home screen, tap the round person button at the top right, beside the gear. The ACCOUNT panel opens. (When you pick a party, the button with your name at the top right opens it too.)
- If your account has an email address, type its password into the Password field. A guest account needs no password.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT. The game warns you that this is for good; tap DELETE ACCOUNT again to confirm.
The account is deleted from the server straight away. The game then carries on as a brand-new, empty guest account on that device; if you don't want that, uninstall the game.
By email
If you can't use the game (it is uninstalled, or you forgot the password), write to [email protected] with the subject Delete my War of Dreams account.
- An account with an email address: send the request from that address.
- A guest account (no email): tell us its display name, the device you play on, and roughly when you started. Guest accounts are tied to a device rather than to a person, so we may ask you to prove it is yours, for example by renaming it in the game to a word we give you.
We delete the account within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner, and reply to tell you it is done.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account, at once:
- the account itself: display name, email address, password hash, when it was made and last used, and its security records (wrong-password count, locks, bans);
- every device sign-in: the token hashes and the device model names;
- all your progress: heroes, levels and experience, banner parts and upgrades, campaign and dungeon progress, Dream Stones and gold, and your arena team;
- your arena rating and record, and your Endless Dream scores, so your name leaves the arena ladder and the Endless Dream tables;
- your purchase records, your friends list, the players you blocked and your guild membership.
Purchases: Dream Stones bought with real money are lost with the account and are not refunded by deleting it. Avatar frames stay with your App Store or Google Play account: on a new game account, RESTORE PURCHASES in the shop brings them back. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups: copies of the database made before you deleted your account (one every night, and one before each server update) still hold it until they are deleted, 14 days at most. They are only used to recover the server from a failure.
- Server logs: lines that name your display name or account number (for example an arena match or a summon at the Well of Dreams), and the IP address of any game download from our website, until the log is deleted after 14 days.
- Fight records: the results of fights you took part in (heroes fielded, winner, turns, rating change) are kept for game balance. They carry only a random account number that, once your account is gone, belongs to nobody, and no name, email or device.
- Chat lines you wrote stay, under the name you had, until they are deleted with their age (world chat 7 days, guild chat 30 days, private messages 180 days). Reports keep their copies of reported lines.
- If you asked us by email: our note that we deleted the account, with its display name and email address, so we can show we did what you asked; and your email to us, in our mailbox.
